The TERAVARNA team has contributed many good ideas to the Corona crisis, giving artists worldwide a chance to survive. The philosopher Immanuel Kant was a good companion for my work as an artist. His maxim is to look for ways out and live confidently in your time. I find this attitude reflected in TERAVARNA's corporate philosophy.

TERAVARNA’s work was professional and thorough. My background is in teaching economics, which is a very rational field, while art is highly subjective. The support I received from the TERAVARNA team is especially meaningful to me, as I pursued my art training independently and plan to continue on that path. I am always seeking new influences to inspire my work. Art is personal and subjective, and on this journey, TERAVARNA provides objectivity, which also guides my progress.

I am an architect turned artist and I have been developing art for about 3 1/2 years. I began entering online juried competitions early on, with some success. One of those early successes was an award I won from the TERAVARNA Art Gallery. Under a different name at that time. This was a very important validation for me as I was very uncertain as to how the fine art world would accept my work at large. I have gone on to develop a very important and consistent professional relationship with the TERAVARNA team. I was able to exhibit with them at the LA Art Show 2024 last February. I have exhibited at several, well attended, international art fairs and this was no exception. As you may expect, there was a very diverse and interesting group of attendees. I was able to place a very high-end piece, on consignment, in a Bel Air estate. It was an extremely rewarding experience professionally, but also personally, as I had the pleasure of getting to know the TERAVARNA team. I greatly respect their integrity and professionalism and hope we will continue to enjoy many rewarding experiences together in the future.

I am new to the art world, only having started acrylic pouring a few years ago and TERAVARNA provided me with amazing opportunities and even a Solo Exhibition! When Teravarna asked me to submit artwork for a solo exhibition, I took the opportunity offered and I gladly submitted. As a small Museum Curator and emerging contemporary artist I would like to commend the staff at TERAVARNA for their exemplary professionalism! My hat is off to all the people that have worked with me at TERAVARNA. From the first day a little over a month ago when I lost the page to send in my pics for an exhibition to putting together my first International Solo Show, I could not believe how easy they made this new experience happen for me. As I had questions, all were promptly answered. Now, I have my artwork on a wonderful website that would make any artist proud. Plus, the audience seeing my artwork is ready to buy, not just look. If all this doesn’t make you ecstatic, well, my Solo exhibition website went live on a Friday. The next day, Saturday, I received an email asking if I would be interested in showing some of my work in a virtual exhibition in Greece. So, now I have 3 pieces that will be in a show in Greece from Nov 15 to Dec 15.

All my artist friends can’t believe how beautiful my website is for this solo exhibition. The main question I am asked is, “How much did you pay for that website?” I just smile and say, “About 30 years of my life.” Then we laugh and they go back to making their artwork. It was a very helpful process to prepare for the Solo Exhibition and I am so grateful to be included in the TERAVARNA group. Going through the paintings I wanted to submit and writing my artist statement really helped me pinpoint what I have been up to. I was ecstatic to have my artwork accepted into TERAVARNA group show in 2021. It was my first online juried art show entry.

Now, less than a year later, I have 20 group shows, 4 grants, and 2 solo shows "under my belt." They were the very first to request a solo show and I am finally doing it with them. I found you on my own, a prompting, a search on the net for a digital portrait competition. When I began to read about your competition and thought behind your competition, I could not believe my eyes.

Truly my faith increased and then when I boldly dared to ask a question and you responded so speedily, I was led to believe this is real.

I thought if I could find a digital format that would competently hold a certain level of credibility then perhaps, I may have a chance. Often, these competitions require the works to be shipped at the risk of this not getting accepted, and then the return fee. We are in a third world country too, so our currency is at a disadvantage. Postage itself a real challenge. So, I got thinking in a creative way.
